“If humans went through a form of reversible metamorphosis, I would rewind mine to childhood”- Daniel Ssettaba.
Daniel Ssettaba is a Life Skills Provider, Civic Educator and Professional Theatre Artist who dedicated his skills largely to children and young people in and out of school, to heighten their tender expression; hopes, desires, fears and all. In 1997, Daniel founded Roots Afrika in Uganda.
“The dawn of a new day comes with birds singing their life- celebrating song. It all starts like noise as it interrupts sleep for some, yet when it picks up the harmonious key with the beauty of the horizon, marking out shapes of mountains and trees, the awesome beauty is acknowledged only by the soul. Not easy to express. Is it? I don’t have the definitive expression to why and to what extend I love children given their noise, dischorded song, nagging fights, destructive encounters with any attractive valuable their eyes catch and invisibility to surveillance cameras when it comes to sneaking out of watchful eyes. Yet with the start of each day their innocent song blends with the harmony of life, as refreshing as pure breathe. No wonder there’s a practical child in every adult if not closely monitored”- Daniel Ssettaba.
